There is a town in Italy called Casorzo where a cherry tree grows on top of a mulberry tree. The Double Tree of Casorzo is a rare sight, not solely because of the double tree, but because both the mulberry and cherry tree are able to thrive and bear fruit through their unique partnership. The roots of the cherry tree extend through the trunk of the mulberry tree to reach the fertile soil below. Both trees are healthy and have prospered for many years.
